This ancient moving art is still one of the most beneficial health practices to date. It has been practiced for centuries in China and now world wide and it will continue to be practiced into the future. Great for both young and old: • the form strengthens the core • makes the body supple and fluid • it is also know to prevent falls in old age (see NY Times Article) • makes the mind sharp and resilient • reduces stress without "stressing out" the body • an ideal compliment to sitting meditation practice
Like many of the qigong forms that I teach Taijiquan has incredible capacity to heal and harmonize body and mind. As with any art form it takes a commitment to learn, so regular class attendance and persistence is required.
